Does anyone have a schematic of an 86 rx-7, non turbo computer? I have a few parts that got toasted and I would like to bring the computer back to life if possible. A word to the wise for everyone, if you aren't aware, rx-7's have many electrical problems that can be solved by simply resoldering all the solder points

If the ECU is blowing up, it's typically shorts from the wiring harnesses.
There is a difference between "ECU' and "CPU".

I agree with SonicRat...find someone who is parting thier car and get it used. I don't know what kind of tools you have, but after getting a soldering iron, solder extractor, multimeter, and the components that need replacing...you would probably have spent the $50 that a used one will cost.

BTW if you are hell bent on fixing it though, contact Mazda for the schematic. One other source that I'm sure has one is www.digitaltuning.com the creators of the RTek7 chip (which I love in mt TII BTW!).

i used to do electronics pre 9/11 so i still have all my tools staring at me. i do understand the concept of buying one from someone who is parting their car out but it would be one less thing that we can't repair ourselves if we have the proper docs. if i do find it, i will post.
