Computer problem?

Have an 89 vert which leaks. Got a lot of rain last night and this morning the interior floorboards were wet. Car started fine. About a mile down the road my check engine light came on. The engine died. I finally got it cranked back up and as I was going up hill I started loosing RPM's. She finally sputtered and died. When I tried to crank again I couldn't get her restarted and the exhaust was whiteish with a rich fuel smell. Could this be the computer, and if so what do the usually run used?

Can not tell you the problem, but, a comp should be around $65.00 used.

So $350.00 for a used ECU is bad...any ideas where one can be found cheaper?

If you are getting water in the car, fix that first, then trouble shoot the comp. It may have just gotten wet and may not be bad.
