Compression Question

I am reading about 90 to 95 psi for my compression test. My engine is 50,000 miles old and was wondering if this just gets worse as I go. I mean, I am looking at putting on a downpipe, but I do not want to blow thte engine. Would it be OK if I put that downpipe on it when the engine's compression is low? Thanks for your time.
