Compatability with drivetrain?

I've got a series 4 turbo II, and has had all its parts taken off to turn another fc (auto) to a manual,
So Im in the process of collecting bits for it, and Im wondering can I use a series 4 gear box with a series 5 motor and visa-versa? is there a difference between turbo drive shafts? will there be any mounting problems with the gear box
(different braket?) and engine?
also Im not at this stage using an LSD if that matters, thanks.

the t2 trans. will fit to a n/a engine if the flywheel is used and the t2 starter, the n/a rear end has a smaller bolt space, the turbo is alittle wider 2 ways to do it drill it , not the best switch rear end yokes or the whole rear end

yes there is a difference between auto and manual driveshafts the auto drive shaft is about 80mm shorter but any driveshaft shop can re tube it to the right length i got mine done in hamilton for $80 the rear end flange is the same and so is the yoke that slides into the gearbox s4 drive shafts are the same as s5 and s5 gearboxs can be used in a s4 as long as you use the s5 gearbox mount aswell as the mounting points on the tail shaft are different hope this all helps

also manuals dont just bolt in with the mounts on to auto cars you have to use an auto mount on the box and run two bits of angle iron about 100mm forward and bolt the gearbox to this angle iron so what this means is if you are using s5 manual box in a s4 you will also need a s5 auto gearbox mount. if you need any more help you can call me 027 452 7540 i have done this conversion heaps
