Comments on potential engine bay paint colours
I'm having my engine rebuilt and this is what I am considering doing
I plan on painting the three plates on the keg in a candy red, then the housings in a silver color. The turbos front housing will be polished.
I want to paint the following as well:
1. Intercooler piping
2. Alternator and other pulleys
3. Brackets
4. Manifold
5. Misc bolts
I keep on going back and forth between a polished look or a black chrome (imagine black pearl) type of deal.
Regardless I want everything to look clean and fresh, so it will get painted regardless. What do you guys think ?

For reference:
Black Chrome

Polish/mirror

Keep it simple with as few colours as possible, I'd go with a deep gloss/metallic black on all of the accents. BUT... Unless you're going to powdercoat the I/C pipes, I would just leave them polished aluminum, because they WILL get beat up.
id say keep it basic too but repaint your pipine and intercooler with duplicolor 1,200 degree paint..i know you dont need to go that high with just your piping but it is the only one they make with the aluminum color. i did it to mine and it came out awsome. i could post pics before and after if you want a reference
