Thumbs up Cold Air box - Idea for getting cold air to it...no cutting.

So I was looking at my TII and came up with an idea for a cold air box that would require no cutting and should work with most everything stock.

First part is to make a box that encloses the air filter. However it is configured. Stock or your own TID.

Then, remove the plastic trim piece that is between the front rad support and the relays. Next, remove the stock air duct that routed air to the stock air box.

Now, find some sort of flexable tube (Dryer tube or scat tubing from an airplane). Run this from inside the lower part the bumper up to where that plastic trim piece was.

Then over the front bumper support and then turn towards the passenger side where it would meet up with the box.

One thing that I could think would be a problem would the round tube would not clear the hood when down. So, take some hose clamps and squeeze the tube into an oval so it would not be a problem.

Then, make some sort of panel that would do the job of the plastic piece you removed.

It might look a little on the ghetto side depending on the time you spend on it. However, it would be undoable.
