GA Coil over install

I'm installing full coil overs today, do I just bolt the camber plate mounts right too the chassis? Metal on Metal? I feel like i should have some kind of light gasket or something.... But then my brain is like no that would just add something else that would flex...

Anyone feel free to chime in.

Yup. Generally the top plate bolts into the shock tower and there are bushings underneath the mount that provide your needed flex. Of course, each coil-over out there is different so it may not be exactly the same. Some may need parts off the old strut assembly; others' do not

Even the stock top hat will bolt metal to metal, but there is a bushing between that metal to the shock shaft. a lot of camber plates will use a bearing in the middle

Instructions for the Mazdaspeed Motorsports Development kit attached for reference. The most common mistake I see is people trying to attach the camber plates to the top of the strut tower as opposed to the bottom of the strut tower as most of them are intended to mount.
