What does the N351 mean? Would a N350 work as well as a N351? on a S5

ECU Part Numbers (this is the version # that's on the ECU itself)
84-85 GSL-SE N304 18 880A
86-87 NA N326 18 880, N3Y6 18 880
87 Turbo N332 18 880
88 NA N327 18 880
88 Turbo N333 18 880
88 Convertible N338 18 880
89 NA California N350 18 880
89 NA Fed. N351 18 880
89 Conv. CA N352 18 880
89 Conv. Fed. N353 18 880
89 Turbo N370 18 880

as found at http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/

so yes different years

as long as the first 3 parts are the same then they will be interchangeable. n32x will work as long as its replacing n32x

Whats the difference on the Cali 350, obviously its something to do with emissions and CARB. Does it just run the n/a a bit more lean to keep the no2 low, or does it inject a dif amount of air to the cats?

It is said that as long as the first 2 numbers are the same as what you are replacing it will work (N35X) N350, N351, N353
