clutch sugggestions ?

Ok I have a 87 tii that's 300+ rwhp I didn't adjust my clutch soon enough it seems to slip only when i punch the gas hard and not a lot in low rpm the clutch is a atc or whatever 6 puck also have thier lightweight flywheel so i adjusted it and It's still getting that slipping after 3k rpm while puting the full to it so does this sound like I need a new one if so what brand is best and what type and will I have issues with the flywheel ?

You could pick up a used OS Giken for cheap and rebuild it...that's what I did. Got the clutch kit (comes with flywheel and all, since it's one assembly with twin plates) for $180 shipped. Even if I have to replace the friction plates and resurface the flywheel, I'll still be at less than 50% of MSRP. Rebuild kits for the twin plates run about $700-$900...you could probably get a super single rebuild for less than that and OS Gikens are bulletproof.

Just an idea for you.

Some say daily driving a twin plate can be hard on it's pressure plate cause they're designed more for track duty, but if your 6 puck is unsprung you'll see smoother engagement I think. I haven't really driven a twin plate so I can't speak from experience, only what I've read and heard.

A twin plate would be awesome, and when I rebuild my motor it its more than likely what I will go w/. However 300+ hp is still below 300 ft/lbs of torque, and for that a spec stage 3 /4 (or equivalent ACT) will be fine and cost less.
