Clutch Squeal???

I have an '87 NA with 126,000 miles. As far as I know it still has the original clutch and transmission. When I am shifting between gears sometimes I hear a moderate sqeal when the clutch pedal is almost at its resting position. Does this sound like a problem that can be fixed with the bearing and seal kit from RX7.com, or is a new clutch going to be required? Thanks.

My guess is if it's the original clutch you are looking at replacing the whole thing. If you plan on doing the work yourself you can always pull it apart and inspect it, it sounds like either your pivot or throwout bearing. I would not be suprised if you pulled it apart to find the clutch plate worn to nothing as well as the bearings toast.

The clutch fork might be dry. When i did my first clutch job, the previous guy didnt put enough grease on the input shaft and it made noise.
