Clutch slipping ..

Wierd question. When I drive my car in the morning or for a while, my clutch doesn't slip. When I do a lot of stop and go, or a long drive. That's when my clutch starts to slip. Wierd part is, I touch the metal part of my shifter under my shift ****, It gets hot and that's usually when the clutch starts to slip. I just recently changed the transmission fluid with 80w90. My T2 had two drain and fill so I did both of them. Anyone have any ideas? I believe the clutch was recently replaced. I just recently bought the car. Not sure though.

check the pictures in the factory manual to make sure you filled in the right plug. its at fc3s.org
how hot does the metal part get? is all the heat insulation stuff still around the shifter area?

the way i check a clutch is by putting it in 3rd or 5th gear at a standstill and revving up engine to about 3k rpms w/ ebrake on. the car should stall when you release the clutch and it should not slip much, if any.

It gets hot but not to a point you can't touch it. I changed the fluid correctly so don't worry about that. I don't know what's wrong but I might end up changing the clutch soon. If no one here has any idea, I guess I'm lost and have to change the clutch.

Same problem. Anyone have a solution. When hot the cllutch engagement zone actually gets higher on the pedal. I replaced the clutch (Petit racing clutch kit), line, and slave cylinder. no difference.
