Exclamation clutch slave cylinder

curious if the rubber seal that hold the rod in place in the clutch slave cylinder is reusable. driving home from work i had no clutch by the time i got to the house, checked and the rubber boot and rod had completely ejected from the slave cylinder, parts car part is ****, so i just put silicone sealant in and around it. i know its only a temp fix till friday, but has anyone tried anything similar? i had to do it to the first gen and its been almost 2 years now w/ no prob. dont bash me for being broke

A rebuilt clutch slave is only about $25 and a rebuild kit if you wish to do it yourself is only about $12...

Both considerably less than even a tank of gas.

Do it right.

dont bother rebuilding it. Keep it around maybe for spare parts incase it goes out again and your driving. I got a brand new one from autozone for 45.00
