Clutch Questions

I need to upgrade my clutch. I replaced it shortly before the motor puked up a seal with a stock unit. The new motor will be making more power but I don't really want to bite the bullet and buy a whole new clutch package right away.

What do you think about using the stock clutch disc with an upgraded pressure plate like the ACT heavy duty, or extreme. I don't mind if it will wear the disc out faster I just want it to hold. Eventually I will replace the disc.

I'm curious too. I'm at the limit of the my new OEM unit already with only 195RWHP. I'm on stock size tires and I get a little slippage with good traction.

I always have to learn things the hard way though. My penny-pinching doesn't help matters. Clutch is money well spent.

Cheers

Ya I agree. Right now I need alot of money to get the car going again and if I can put off buying a new clutch disc and get away with just a new pressure plate it would help.
