clutch problems/WTF?
okay.. having some clutch issues...
it engages/disengages within an inch of the floor...
when Its hot (after running the car hard, after an Autox run or whatever) it won't disengage at all..... it's impossible to get into gear/etc.
it chatters slightly when engaging, but this seems to have gone away...
it seems to work a little better if you pump it a few times, but that quickly goes away.
I had an assistant press the clutch to the floor, and then pump it while I watched.. I couldn't really tell a difference in travel. it might have moved a TINY bit more but not much.
yes, it has LOTS of fluid.. the fluid is dirty, but there is lots of it.
anyways, what the hell can the problem be here?

do you have to pump it seveal times to get it to engage like say to get it into reverse? you might want to check your clutch lines judy pump the hell outta it then see if you see any fluid on the lines or check the master clutch cylinder (about 70$) i just replaced the clutch mastery cylinder on mine and it works a little better but you have to pump it several times to get it to go into reverse. i checked the fluid lines and found that they were leaking fluid. oh yeah and change the fluid. i have brake fluid in mine and bleed the lines properly.

bleed the system again. and do it again.
then adjust the engagement point of the pedal. Read the FSM.
If that does not help you may have a bad Clutch master cylinder.

Mine had a similar issue. I bought a rebuild kit (about $25 from NAPA) and rebuilt the master cylinder. The slave is much less of a problem child. When you bleed the system, make sure that the bleed fitting is tight. It takes a 9mm wrench. If it isn't tight enough, moisture can get in and contaminate the fluid and it will leak (very little seepage) enough to keep causing trouble.

replace the clutch line with the stainless steel braided one rx7store.net offers. it will prevent a problem and should help shifting a little. im going through the same thing.
