yea you should check the cylinders to see if there is something wrong, it could also be that something got stuck in the pedal,
something of the sort happened to a go-cart i was using once, all was going good when suddenly i had no throttle response. i thought i blew the engine, but i looked closer at the gas petal and there was a bottle cap in the way, pulled it out and everything was good.
its the little crap, you could survive a gun shot, but the common cold still kills
