Clutch Problem

ok my clutch has been worn out for a while but has no slipping problems. just yesterday i was just going on the freeway shifted in to 2nd and 3rd gear then while going into 4th the clutched pedal dropped very low so i just threw it into 5th and drove for about a mile to the exit. as soon as i got off i pressed the clutch and tried to put it in gear i couldnt get it into any gear also when i was pressing down the clutch it felt like stalling in neutral any ideas what the problem is. also there was a bit of smoke comming out of the tranny when i opened the hood

It sounds like the issue is that the clutch is not disengaging when the pedal is depressed, rather than a worn clutch slipping. Inspect the hydraulics to be sure there's no leak at the master, slave or the hose itself. If there's no leak, bleed the system and see if there's any change in pedal feel. If not a leak or air in the line, you're probably just looking at a new clutch. It sounds like you need one anyway.

Definitely sounds like a hydraulic leak. A blown clutch would make it easier to drive the car. If you did something like dump the clutch with it revved up to redline its entirely possible to blow the hub right off the torsional springs.
