Clutch problem~ not what you're thinknig!

Ok so.. installing a clutch (Exedy OEM) and it won't mount up flush with the flywheel with or without the clutch installed.

There is a 1/8" gap between the flywheel and the pressure plate.

Is this normal?

The studs that hold the pressure plate are very tight in the pressure plate holes. Would it affect the pressure plate balance to reem the holes to make the flywheel studs less tight?

Thanks!

working as I type, so fast response=good

Are you sure you have the clutch plate facing the right direction?
