Clutch pressure question
On a recent trip, my RX-7 developed a problem with the hydralic clutch system. For background purposes it's a stock 87 non-turbo base model. The problem is that the system doesn't seem to hold pressure. When the clutch is depressed pressure drops and I have bring the pedal up off the floor, then if I lightly pump it the pressure comes back. Once I start driving it's not a problem because when shifting, the clutch is used in short amounts of time or I can match rpms. My thought is that the slave cylinder is going bad. If anyone has had any similar problems or a possible remedy, input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Does sound like you have pressure loss in the system. Have you checked the fluid level? A New slave cylinder is ~$40 at Oreilly's. They are easy to replace. Just make sure you bleed the system or your new cylinder will act the same as your current one. You should also ensure that your clutch master is functioning properly as well.
IIRC tools needed are a 12mm socket with a long extension to remove the slave cylinder. A 17mm open wrench to remove the pressure line. And a 8mm open wrench for the bleed screw.
