Exclamation clutch petal butter!

I installed a clutch net disc and presure plate. The P/plate is a 40% increase. Everything went fine and replaced a bunch of of extra parts here and there. This is my third clutch job and have never had a prob before. But the clutch pedal is Oh so soft. And no its not air in the clutch hydrolic line cus I never broke it.
Any ideas?

There are only 2 things that provide resistance to teh clutch pedal:

the pressure plate itself
the hydraulic system between the pressure plate and your foot

That said, if you didnt undo any of the hydraulic lines you should be fine. Sometimes, especially with new parts, and more so with heavy duty parts, the old hydraulic systems can fail quickly under the stress so consider that.

What youre noticing is that you have a new clutch set. WIth time, about a month, not only does the clutch DISC break in but the pressure plate also, it stiffens up. Thats not to say it doesnt have all its HOLDING POWER against the disc right now, it should. IT just means that with time it will resist your efforts to disengage it more.

Usually when I instlal a new clutch kit with all new parts(not reusing the old PP like I do to be cheap lately) I cant drive the damn car for a week. The pedal sinks right to the floor, and the slightest twitch of my foot stalls the car. After a couple of weeks it should get much better fel to it, and after a month you wont even think about it anymore.

All the hydrolic stuff is new and the line was replaced with a ss one. And the pedal spring measured right up to the turbo spec. I really hyope your right hypntyz7. Cuz I don't want to take that F$cking tranny out again. I swear I think mazda trannys are the hardest to put back in with a few exceptions. Before
Before I put her back in does any one else have an idea?

youve probably already tried it but i usually find that just bleeding it a lot or adjusting it a little helps. but in the rx7 the hydraulic system is pretty straightforward, so a little air isnt all that hard to get out.

When I put in my new clutch, it also was pretty easy to engage. It has no problems holding though and I kinda like the easier pedal as I am tired of having my left leg getting all the workout from the regular type clutches that take a mountain of energy just to push them in.

No no. I mean its really soft. Like the first time I pushed the pedal it went to the floor. after a few pumps it came back up. Even the release fork has to much play in it. Something is definatley wrong. I just can't fingure it out.
