clutch pedal sticking to the floor loss of pressure

sup guys,

last night i was driving home and realized my clutch pedal was sticking and needed some help to return. when i got home i checked the fluid and it was at the low line, i added some fluid pumped the pedal and it felt fine so i left it at that.

come morning time i started the car and the pedal stuck to the flor i pumped it and it would hold some presure but if i held the pedal to the floor for more than 2 seconds it would just stay on the floor.

I bled the clutch and had no luck. Now when i was pumping the pedal with my hand i could hear a sssssssss noise as the pedal lost pressure.

do you think it's the slave cylinder or maybe the clutch master cylinder? i have changed slave before but never a master is it hard?

I had the same problem with mine, it went away after I changed the master cylinder, but I replaced the slave. I figured if one failed the other might soon after (both were stock).

It could be either the master or the slave though, the loss of pressure would affect the function of the clutch pedal the same way. they are both pretty easy to replace. I changed them both without any issue with no prior knowledge. Got the parts at kragen for pretty cheap too.

not too difficult to change both. I'd suggest replacing both clutch and slave at the same time, and you might as well do the hose as well while your at it. If you recently replaced the slave, the added strain probably caused the master to go, and you could probably sneak by with just replacing the master. Or hose if it's leaking

there's a write up in the archive section if i remember correctly

Feel around the boot on the slave cylinder for fluid. If there is any fluid the slave is bad.

Same with the master. Inside the car where the clutch pedal rod enters the master....if you feel or see any fluid it's bad.

IF your not losing ANY fluid........the master is the bad actor and not the slave.

I find masters difficult to remove because there are two 12mm wrench size nuts on the inside of the car that need removal. The outboard one has several obstructions in MY way. In other words it sucks to change the master. I remove the seat to have more room to wiggle.
