clutch job on a budget
clutch job on a budget
Is it possible to replace the clutch disc only (the friction material) to extend the life of a clutch? If you grind down the pressure plate and flywheel will it hold?
I know it's a good idea to do everything, but I'm just asking if it would hold after break in?

Buy yourself JUST a new disc and pop it back in. You can get stock discs for some cars for less than 100 bucks at autozone or the like. For the FC, I dunno. Do NOT grind on anything.
on couple our cars we are using everything old, just get old clutch discs resurfaced for $30 or so
so far holding good even on 250rwhp TII
