Haynes manual.

I had never worked on cars before I got my FC, then two weeks after I got it, the clutch went out.

I got the haynes manual, read it, along with the factory service manuals, and did the whole thing over a weekend.

Haynes books are usually around $15, and well worth it. Also, check out the FSM, they're available for download in the FAQ sticky.
