Clutch help

Okay, I've got my clutch playing the slip and grab game with me...I'm checking the fluid levels tomorrow, although I've got a feeling that it's just the clutch getting ready to go on me...here's the question...I'm wanting to slowly turn my vert into a somewhat decently fast car...I'm planning a TII swap, but that's probably at least a year down the road...I figure I'll replace what breaks with aftermarket parts...I've been considering an ACT 6-puck, these being the clutches I seem to hear about the most. I thought I'd ask, what other kind of clutches work good, where did you get it, and how much did it run you? this goes for the ACT 6-pucks too, the where/how much part. A friend of mine said the cheapest he found the ACT for was like 300 and some-odd amount...this isn't exactly what I call affordable...anyone with help, thx in advance.

I recently replaced my clutch with a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch, when first installed it was a bit stuff to get into gear sometime but ater a break in period it engages smoothly, also if youre replacing your clutch you might want to check your flywheel, mine needed to be resurfaced which caused the clutch to go out on me in the first place, it was warped

yeah....im getting a centerforce dual friction too.. you can generally find one for about 300. You can also go with the centerforce II or I. A 6 puck clutch is gonna have a faster engage/disengage and the pressure plate will probably have a higher clamping force so your left foot might get a nice work out. dont know how you feel about that. but almost any upgraded clutch will clamp harder than stock.

Get a 6 puck copper clutch. Usually about 300. You will hate your car for about a week when you get that installed

well, crap, you're not raising my hopes any for my wallet guys anyway, thx for the help...seems to be acting a bit better with more fluid although I'm still going to be in the market for aftermarket stuff...so the help is appreciated.
