Clutch gone?

im pretty sure im right but im just wanna double check before i order parts. over the past weeks my car seemed to be slowing down, i was shifting just like before accept when before id shift into 4th at 45 at around 3k rpm, i now was shifting at 5.5k ish into 4th but the car was only going 20ish. like there was alot more slack. clutch pedal was also getting progressivly loose. i checked the fluid, it was at the min line so i filled it up to max. didnt help. a lil later it became a task getting it in gear in morings when leaving for work, it shifted on the way there but to intialy get it in gear when i 1st started took s few trys. then later i had a lil problem at a redlight, when light went green i couldnt get it back in 1st, but like mornings it eventually worked and i didnt block anything up for too long. then yesterday on the way home from work about midway i shifted into 4th and it just went up to like 6k going like 40 mph and wasnt going any faster so i started pulling over and it just happen to catch while i was slowing down. i made it to same red light and had the same problem as before, except this time it didnt go in gear, had to be pushed. i tryed a few things a freind and dad told me like start the car already in 1st but it wont start it just turns over when in gear. starts fine normally. so its aprently the clutch right? my 1st standard and im not positive. not whole tranny right? can i get a OEM clutch rebuild from ebay for like 100 bux are those crap? what about stage 1, 2 or 3? can this be done myself? thanks

well it does sound like a clutch, the part where rpms shoot to 6,000 but the vehicles speed remains constant or slows as well as the burning smell....

but this whole thing about shifting at 3k and then the next day shifting at 5.5k and only going 20ish I don't understand....need more explanation

But all in all it just sounds like a clutch to me, you may be having tranny problems as well given thedifficulty getting in and out of gear...although it COULD be th throw out bearing hanging up causing it to be partially engaged the whole time, thus making a shift into first difficult.

The OEM replacement clutches on ebay I have no experience with, the gripforce one though I have no complaints about - GOOD price and solid ****. As far as an upgrade is concerned thuogh...if the car if N/A and stock (for the most part) I would say go OE, if its a TII I would consider using a heavy duty pressure plate with a solid organic disk - stay away from a puck type disk since the car is driven regularly on the street
