Clutch Fluid

I just bought my car and there is like no clutch fluid. What do I put in DOT3 or 4. And do I need to bleed it after I fill it?

Thanks COnnor

DOT 3 is what I've always used, yes you'll have to bleed it after.

might want to check and see if there is a reason why there is no fluid while you're at it

Yeah. It sounds like your clutch hydraulics may be leaking. If after you fill it + drive for maybe 100 mi, if it looks unusually dark, then you need to rebuild them. After rebuilding them I would suggest going to DOT 4. Actually IIRC you can mix DOT 3 and DOT 4. I might be wrong, but it will say on the bottle.
