Clutch/Brake Cylinder questions...

So I have been reading through the forums and whatnot and have been able to find out that if I am going to replace my master and slave cylinder I should replace them with Tokico equipment. I have already found a set for the clutch system. I am also going to get a braided clutch line as well. My only question to this is will I have to upgrade these parts down the road if I upgrade the car later for better clutch operation and if so wouldn't the hard line create a bottle neck and restrict any increases to flow capacities that upgraded components would allow?

Now the other part to this post.

I have been unable to find a brake master cylinder that is made by Tokico so I was wondering who would be a good brand to go with as well. I want quality here. The brakes are very spongy and you can see the the cylinder is wet around the reservoir so I would just like to replace it all and completely evacuate the system so that it will once again be back to new.

I will be using Amsoil synthetic brake fluid. My question about that is whether or not it is ok to use DOT 4 instead of DOT 3 in the system if I clear the system completely... Here are the specs on the Boiling temps for the DOT 3 compared to DOT 4 if you don't know why I don't know why I want to use it...

........................................DOT Minimum............................AMSOIL
DOT3
ERBP*:..............................205°C (401°F).........................274°C (525°F)

Wet ERBP**:....................140°C (284°F).........................156°C (313°F)

DOT4
ERBP*:..............................230°C (446°F).........................304°C (580°F)

Wet ERBP**:....................155°C (311°F).........................210°C (410°F)

DOT 4 gives you around 30ºF wet and 45ºF regular boiling temps higher than DOT 3 so that is why I am asking about it. Reason why I chose Amsoil is because of the even higher values...

Please let me know your input. I would greatly appreciate it before I start doing this in the coming weeks.

Thanks in advance.

"Flow capacity" is meaningless in the context of your post, the stock hardline is not a "restriction".

Yes, you can use either DOT 3 or 4 without issues, DOT 5 can gum things up though.

Ok thanks for the input. Anyone know who is a good manufacturer for Brake Master cylinders since Tokico doesn't make them?
