i have an s4 n/a and the clutch is being weird. if i am at a stop like with the clutch pedal in. my clutch will run away and ill get 25% of the way up before it engages.. usually it wont engage until the pedal is about 90% of the way out. but sometimes it'll stick at 25% and sometimes it wont. i don't see that i am loosing clutch fluid. the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder were both rebuilt about 8 months ago.

 

How old is the clutch itself, i might be retarded and not see it there in your post. If the clutch is wearing out this could be a problem(in my exp) how does it act when you drive really hard?

 

I could be totally off here, but is your clutch cable binding on anything? Maybe it gets hung up on something thereby changing the adjustment. Then sometimes it pops off of whatever it is?

 

Our clutches are hydraulic. I don't think there is any cable anywhere associated with the clutch.

 

Is this related to stop and go traffic by any chance? My FC and RX8 both chang ethe engagement point when driving in stop and go traffic for long durations.

 

Ooops. I've been working on too many goofy old cars.

 

Check the system for leaks. Or it may be a master cylinder thats going.

 

im unaware of clutch age but its like 5,000 miles+ since i had teh 7 186,00 on car
