clutch
My 87 GXL's clutch is slipping bad, and I was wondering what type of clutch to replace it with, something that is a step above OE, but not race, and also, if you have to pull the engine to replace it, and how hard is it. Thanks.

here's a link to a thread in the archives about installing a clutch, close to the bottom there are numbered steps.

you can find clutches better than OE at almost any rx7 website. look for the ones that say 30% more clamping force

many sites will lable clutches as Street/Strip clutches. These are better than stock with more clamping force, but it allows you to maintain street driveability because the clutch will not grip the flywheel so suddenly that it lauches your car from a standing stop at a red light to an uncontrolable collision course with the vehcile in front of you who is driven by a old lady who has the reaction time of a coconut.

I've had someone recommend getting an ACT Clutch to me. They have a kit listed as being 34% over OEM and it comes with pressurre plate, release and pilot bearing i think.
It's listed at $383 and I might buy it when clutch time comes around.
