Hi all.

This isn't really major at all, just curious. In the morning when I first turn on my car it has a higher idle. It's not the advanced warm up thing, but its just a little higher 1500 1300ish WHILE I have my clutch in. When I take my clutch out it drops down to 750. After the car warms up a bit idle rpm doesn't change when the clutch is in or out.

I only ask this cause I have to let go of the clutch if I'm at a stop light let the rpm drop, then put in the clutch really fast and put it in first. It won't let me go into first at +1300 rpm normally. Again not to big of a deal, but just wondering.

1. the 13b makes no torque

2. when the clutch pedal is depressed, the ecu actually raises the idle up by 100rpm to assist takeoff....

 

^^can someone confirm this?

I dont have an FC but on my FD the idle raises 100rpm with the clutch in.

 

You have a Haltech, so the idle control isn't going to work the same way. Do you have the Haltech controlling the BAC valve?

Don't have an answer to your question, but normally if your car is cold and you step on the gas slightly and let off it should raise it up to 1500 while it warms up then gradually start dropping as it warms up back to 750.

 

Can you prove this?

I've datalogged the BAC and have seen no change on the clutch versus off the clutch. The only change is more BAC duty when the engine is loaded (ie. transmission is cold).

 

I always thought that happened because the weight of the clutch disk was taken off of the flywheel.
