clunk noise

lately when I take my car out of gear and press on the brakes, I hear a clunk noice. It doesn't do it all of the time, and it seem to be just at higher rpms. Any help please!!!

Where is it coming from? The front of the vehicle, the back, where? Need more info...

It sounds like it comes from the front slightly to the right, but for sure the front. I also have a CV joint going out. Think it is related?
