Question clock blacks out/ looses time

The clock up in my logicon display works sometimes and other times I will just be driving down the road and all of a sudden the clock will blank out and stay out. Sometimes just out for a few minutes, somtimes a few days, when it kicks back on sometimes it has the correct time and other times it comes back on and says 12:00 or 1:00 I can't remember. Anyway anyone else have this problem, and how did ya fix it if you did?

Common proplem. - Cold solder joints.

The solder joints that join the connector pins to the circuit board can crack.

Resoldering the connection will fix it.

This can also happen in the CPU & the stereo.

Those are the "idiot lights" not the logicon. It needs to be resoldered, the old joints cracked.

I fixed mine in about an hour working pathetically slow.

I do have clock moduals already rebuilt available on my website, but yeah everyone is right. It sounds like yours just needs re-soldering.
