clear coat paint and 87 rx-7 na

does anybody know if the factory paint job had clear coat or not.

If I remember correctly, the black and red colors of the cars did not come with clear coat.

Why wouldn't it come with clearcoat?

for some odd reason, no they did not come with clear coat.....i have a sunrise red 86...(well whats left of the red anyway) and when i compounded it, i found out really quick, that no it doesnt have clearcoat..
