cleaning the inside of manifold?
I am in the process of cleaning my lower intake manifold, but I do not know what to use to remove the black goo (it is fairly thick and sticky) from the inside of the manifold. If I use Simple Green, I will only be able to dry part of it out - leaving some in the manifold to air dry. Will the Simple Green leave any bad residues behind that I do not want in my engine? What does anyone suggest for me to clean it with?

Should I just leave the black goo?
thanks,
Kris

I reccommend Gasket remover.
this will eat all the carbon and then you can flush with carb cleaner.
If rinsed well, there will be no simple green left to worry about.
But the gasket remover will do the trick. (Its just not cheap).
Carb cleaner and a bottle brush after that.
