cleaning engine parts with compressed air...

The rebuild video says to blow dry certain engine parts with compressed air after cleaning.

Does this mean I need to get an air compressor + blow gun or is there another way?

When I have access to a compressor, I blow them clean. When I don't, a few cans of brake cleaner does the job.

What about the little compressed air blowers like for keyboards?

Not really powerful enough. A compressor at 120 PSI or greater is what you really need...

Big lungs and a McDonald's coffee stir!!

I'm not sure I'd try to use canned air on it, not only is it expensive, but it's chemical, and even though it's probably safe short term I'd hate to screw up the coating on the chromed bits.
