Cigar. Lighter Problem...need help..ASAP

Cigar. Lighter Problem...need help..ASAP

My lighter is working .....when i press it...it light it.....but when i but my phone charger on....the fuse on the phone lighter blow out....again and again....i check the fuse box...everything is working fine......can anybody tell me wat the hell is wrong with the outlet......

Possibly drawing too many amp's accross the fuse. Another possibility is that the wiring is faulty and there's just too much reistance to provide the amperage needed by whatever you're plugging in, or there's a short in whatever you're plugging in.

That could be it, but some lighter plugs are designed in such a way that they short out some lighter sockets. That may be your problem.

What about radar detectors? Do they use as much power as a cell phone charger? Or what if the coil on the ingniter doesn't even heat up?

It all varies. If the coil doesn't heat up, it could be a couple things.

Most obvious would be the coil/lighter itself is just bad.
Socket could be corroded and too dirty to make a good connection
Popped fuse (CIGAR on the fuse panel)
faulty wiring between panel and lighter socket
