MB Cigar lighter

88 Vert- the door mirrors, clock and cigar lighter were not working. I looked at the fuse box a a 10 amp fuse was missing from the "cigar" slot. I put one in and the clock came on, the mirrors moved but the lighter socket is dead, tested with 2 different phone chargers. How can I get that lighter socket going?

take it out and probe the wires going into and see if you have power, may just be a lose wire.

check the wires on the back of the plug. this can be donw by removing the ash tray and poking around behind the plug
