Chirping Clutch?

When I downshift and decelerate, I get a "chirping" from my clutch. There is no problem shifting and the clutch feels normal. This just started. Not sure how many miles on the clutch.

I did a SEARCH and found some great info that leads me to think that the T/O bearing is bad or out of adjustment.

I want to know if you guys agree and how long do you think I can go before something get seriously damaged.
gonna get a better clutch anyway (ATC maybe?) but am unable to for a month or so.

Thanks guys.

Searching is good.

Flywheel chatter or bad t/o bearing. When I pulled my engine, my chirping clutch turned out to be a bad t/o bearing. I had broken off both of the fingers that hold it to the slave cylinder fork $35 from Napa, but since you are getting a new clutch, just wait to put the one that comes w/ the kit in. It in so real big deal, just don't do any hard drops and all should be ok till you get a new one (if that is the problem) If it is flywheel chatter, it is because the flywheel needs resurfacing. Make sure when you put the new clutch in that you get the flywheel resurfaced. Cost me like $60 at a local shop, and they did it in a day.

Cool, might just go ahead and get a new light flywheel while I'm at it.

Ya think the ACT clutch choice? It seems to be from search findings.

Oh yeah, Sold your red NA yet?
