Question Checking Oil / Starting Problem

I just bought my first RX-7, and I don't know that much about rotary engines. When I checked my oil, the dip stick had a white film and small white chunks. I wiped it off and checked the oil again, it still had a few more of the goo. Is this normal?

The car drove fine today, then I parked it for a few hours. I was installing a stereo system when my friend came over and wanted to see my new car, he asked me to start it up and rev it a few times, so I did, then I turned it off. My friend left and I fixed the stereo, but when I wanted to take it for a spin the car wouldn't start.

I think it was flooded, but I had no clue. So I cranked it a few more times and pumped the gas a couple times (how I get a piston engine started)

Was this bad idea?

If the engine is flooded, what can I do to safely get it started.

The car is an 88SE with a Auto Trans

when coolant is mixed with oil, it kinda looks like milk....burning any white smoke/loosing coolant. change your oil ASAP. also pull your radiator cap when the engine is cold or there is no pressure in the hose, so you dont burn yourself, and start the car...if theres a gizer...you have more problems.

pumping the gas isnt going to do a thing...it doesnt have a carb, and you need to unflood it, not give it more gas.

unflooding procedure.

Ok, just maybe this car had sat for a while. It is possible through condensation water has gotten in the oil. Change the oil and then go run the car on the highway hard for a few hours. Get that oil up to temp and get the water out of it. Good luck
