how many coats of that stuff did you have to put on it? how well does it shine through? i have a black TII with DARK tint and i think it might look cool if you can still see the lights shine through well.

light shines through VERY WELL! I can't tell a difference between the factory and the tint..The reflectors still shine when lights hit it...2 light coats....

Hmm, looks interesting is all I'll say. Maybe if we had a shot of the whole car from the rear I'd get a better idea of how I thought it went with the red.

how much is that stuff and where do u get it? im a lil interested in doing this to my own car. ill prolly test it on my slighlty cracked lights then if it looks good I'll get some better s4 lights and do it.

I'm going to do this as well but I have a Black 88 GTU TII conversion with VERY dark tint on the windows.

All I need now is some gunmetal rims or maybe broze colored ones to replace my silver spoked ones and It'll be DED SEKSAY!

the testors transparent paint can be found at hobby town USA, thats what ive used on 2 different cars, just remember to do a few clearcoat layers once ur done with the initial tinting of the tail lights, trust me it will corrode if you dont use clearcoat, just wait a few months

also, if anyone is curious it works on headlights just fine too and the light still shines through great, i did it on my old beater escort that i got to learn how to drive a manual on, before i got my 7

can u pick up the clear coat at hobby town too? if this works out under a tight budget(no job) i think im gonna do it, just to do something to my car.
