yeah i LOVE the mazdaspeed wing.....but honestly guys if you saw the car in person you would think the wing looked great......everybody gives him props, when i had it on my car, everybody gave me props, bc we wanted to be different and not be like everybody who the only exterior mod is to put s5 lights in, which EVERYBODY does.

I'll admit nothing. I don't like the wheels, and I don't like red cars, generally. Too cop-magnet-ish, especially on a sports car. I'm going to go ahead and take a wild guess, and say the only racing that car does is light-to-light street racing. If so, the wheels actually hurt performance, as you need sidewall to flex on a hard launch. Otherwise, all your acceleration is going up in smoke. Again...function or form. Your buddy seems to be very consistantly missing both of those.

So...you're being different by putting that wing on? I can walk through a movie theater parking lot and find about 10 of them on any given Friday night. There's a reason not too many people put them on FC's....it's called taste.

wow, because this thread is still going, I'm going to post again.

Post: That car is ugly. The wing is unnecessary and downright nasty looking. You're lowering the resale value of our cars by equating them with civics.

haha... riced out cessna... good one.

Who the loser is, is usually decided by a majority of people that are different from said person. Looking back on this post the majority of people hate rice.

Adding a wing and 17" wheels is NOT creative. That's all you've done, except for the exhaust. Let me guess at the next step: audio/video system, with in-dash DVD, PS2, 1200 watt amps in custom box? You are not unique, or creative. You're not doing anything revolutionary. Buy a Civic.

Okay so you keep trying to defend the car as good looking but yet you slap "rice" all over the descripition, i mean what the hell? are you doing this just to stir up controversy? There are much better looking aftermarket spoailers not a peice of **** Aluminum wing with no functionality except to drill holes in your car and bend your rear deck area down. Why do you need it, these cars were pretty perfectly tuned from the factory you dont need that sort of rear downforce at any speed that an N/A will hit, i know i would never trust that thing on my rear at a high speed. I may not have been so mean if it didnt look like you were trying to **** us off, so, yes, he has desecrated a nice looking RX-7

It's to weight down the back for mad drifting.

Also, when the afterburner deploys, it acts as flaps to control acent/decent. The sides of the spoiler are used to control the left right motion. The manuverability of that particular unit really shines above 200MPH, especially above 5,000ft.

The afterburner runs entirely on the unburned fuel from the exhaust, and we all have quite a lot of that

the strange thin is, is that i have a red FC,(looks just like hiss minus the wing and with different rims) and i speed ALL the time. i have passed so many cops while speeding its rediculous. and not one of them has yet to give me either a ticket or a warning. and this has been over about a year and half.
i dont get it. you think theyd flock to me like flys to honey but they dont. granted i dont to stupid stuff like tailgate or swerve in and out of traffic, but i am almost always about 10mph over the limit. honestly i feel safer going faster because it forces you to pay closer attention. if i drove the speedlimit all the time id probobly zone out and get in wrecks all the time.
oh well
so either im realy lucky, have matrix-like cop dodging skills, or their isnt a whole lot to the red car/cop theory.

as for the car in subject. i have only one thing to say: functionality is the highest form of beauty. counter-functionality is hideous, regardless of its appearance

true words spoken by a middle school drop-out. look, man, just because those are your *thoughts* about what an import scenester should look like doesnt make you right. import treated like an import? where is this ignorance coming from? been to one too many car shows and avoided all the races? you silly boy. we're not here to pick up 16 year olds, we're here to have fun with tasteful cars.
think of it like "if it aint broke, dont fix it." if it isnt ugly, dont change that! if you can make it look nicer -- badass. if your idea of taste is wheels (stock suspension??) and an overgrown wing (yea, we've never seen THOSE before..), than youre in the wrong community.
and get a life and money? haha, so we can afford cheap wheels and a wing?
sweet jesus, this is the reason we have slang like "n00b." there's no respectable way to handle these matters.
in fact, its so sad, i, along with others, thought this thread was a joke. i mean, i think most of us our laughing, but at, not with. teehee.

since when has slapping on a huge wing been creative, or imaginative. grow a few brain-cells, start getting creative under the hood, and then we can talk. sitting around trying to figure out how to mount the biggest wing possible to make your car "uniquie" is a pathetic use of supossed creativity.

Yea, being creative is doing something done a billion times over. Just give up, you don't have enough friends to win here.
