Sure does look spiffy, but probably cost more than what it would've cost to make your car run 10s

Looks nice! I notice that the hoodscoop isn't offset and looks larger than the stock scoop. Are you going to run a TMIC?

Wow, a good hood for the V8 people but maybe a bit too rich for their blood.

Oh I see. Yah I wouldn't doubt it'd be nice and expensive, especially for we normies with no hookups.

That is pretty nice! I like the two little vents on the left and right topside.

I want a hoodscoop with just a main vent, say going the other way, so the outlet is facing the driver windshield. Maybe when I get my CF hood from fc3s I'll ask nicely and off to pay more to change the hood scoop around some..

I was thinking more along the lines of the TPI folks. Also the 5.0 folks, and maybe one or two SC'd carbed SBF folks.

and yes your not seeing things the tmic scoop is larger and is not offsetted. it is a larger to help with cooling. and the 2 reverse crowls help with ventalation. so the hood is totally functional.

the reason i went with this hood is because i love the stock look but liked a little more air flow.

yes i will be going fmic. when the hood gets here ill get some underside shots. i was told that it has an alum duct under it. not sure where yet but ill see. I will also weigh it and post the weight. Dereck said the hood was real light :ok:

c'mon now , " i can't say the cost " what is that crap ? post pictures of a cool looking hood, of coarse people are going to ask the price. whats the worst that can happen.
1 they might sell more. 2 you won't have the second hood to hit our shores. big deal.
3 too embarresed that a hood cost more then $1,000 dollors. i say be cool about it.
then don't post pictures if your going to be like that. IMO c'mon now, sorry thats how i feel.

i hate people who love to show off then clam up "because 05 showcar" you paid for it, you own it, yeah, we normies don't mind if you got bent over. again sorry thats how i feel.

I like it, but why do you need a huge hood scoop if you are using a FMIC? Seems like a waste of money and an aerodynamic restriction to me. An aluminum TII hood may have been a better choice...dump the $$$ into things that increase performance.

you know why i did not post the price? because i am not sure what you or anyone else will pay for the hood. ok. But if you wanna be a ***** about it. why dont you call them and ask them how much it would be. i will say for mine it was a lil over 1200.

and i'm not sopose to say how much i pay for my parts. thats part of the deal i have with them. So i'm not being a dick and with holding info. So just chill out and if your interested call them. (360) 260 CORK (2675) or email them inquiry@corksport.com

it dose not matter if anyone else gets this hood. Thats why i said who imported it so if you were interested you could contact Corksport.

Overdrivin: the reason i got this hood is 1 i like the look of the stock hood. 2 its got more ventalation. and here in FL when its hot i can use all the air i can get. trying to keep a 7 cool in 100 deg heat every lil bit helps. Plus i wanted to be diffrent and not like everyone else. And as far as the power goes. i'll be maxed out with the hp. i am going to push 500hp out of a s5 TII motor. I dont need anymore power then that. As it sits theres not going to be one thing on the car that is stock or not been changed in one way or another.

No i'm not rich so please dont start calling me a rich *****. i make the same as everyone else about 25k a year. I work 40-50 hrs a week to be able to od this to my car. The car has been in the shop undergoing all this work for almost a year now and i still have about another 4-5 months before its done.

This has always been my dream, to build a nice fc i am proud of. i was never able to do it before because of other finance issues (gf, appt, elect. cable, cell, house phone, insurance, 150/wk in gas, pay her insurance, ect) I have eliminated alot of those bills and i am suffering with no car and no way to get around. Its a lil thing called detication and LOVE of 7's.

Any other comments?

me too. $1,200 dollors isn't much of a deal for a hood if you ask me. as long as your happy, you know. yeah, life cost's $$$$$ and after all the bills are paid theres not much left for the kitty. at least (i'm going out on a limb) your smart enough to have not knocked up the woman because child support is a killer, for 18 years !!! a bit of advice. try not to wrap yourself up into your car that nothing is left of the person.
i'll tell you that i can reproduce that exact same hood, in carbon for $700.00 dollors
but the shipping is a different storie. i'm aware of global shipping cost's BTW.

This coming from a guy that beat up an emissions mechanic because he told him he could work on rotaries, couldn't figure out the problem, and you were pissed he still charged you?

Ignore MarkPerez, seriously, if you never caught the thread about all his wrongdoings you'd know he's not too smart.
