Check out my new exhaust!
Hey Piston Eater,
Nice exhaust! Hmm, you're in Altadena right? I'm right next to Pasadena. Wanna meet up sometime? When did you learn to weld and stuff? You gotta welder at home or what? Cuz I'm thinking, would you like to make me a DP? Well let me know.

Manolis does all the welding with a little 90 amp MIG welder. He is also lucky enough to have access to a plasma cutter! I have been taught how to use an oxy-acetylene torch, but the need to use one hasn't arisen yet. We are also lucky enough to have a friend at a local machine shop that helps us out with his 300 amp TIG welder for those really tough welds.
I am responding for him becasue he is unfortunately locked out of pretty much every computer at his house for one reason or another.

welding cast iron
fcturbo2: I beleive they do have the facilities to weld cast iron, however, it is usually relatively expensive and risky to do so. The problem is that if you want actual fusion welding on gray cast iron, you have to heat the entire piece up a lot, usually about 1100deg F, so that the expansion and contraction of the casting while you are welding it casue not casue any more cracks. You can braze cast iron, but I am not sure if that would suit your purposes. Furthermore, there are some types of cast iron that are exceedingly difficult to repair, so you'd need to know some details about the piece you have.
Are you talking about fixing a crack in an iron housing?

Just to give you guys an idea, I only hit 3500 rpm when that thing was revved
(It's got a limiter on it now, as, like Crazydude pointed out, the motor only has 30 miles on it
)

First off nice job wit your exaust system it looks as striaght as possible, but you gotto do somthin about that hair man. jk
I just spend some cash for a single n1 which so far is ******* awsome its hella loud and real low in tone.
But this message is for Mr. Aaron Cake, i dont understand why you hate singles so much for FC's. Can you explain why your so against this type of exaust??
I personaly feel its the most efficiant exaust for the 2nd gens cuz of the lightness of the system plus the fact that all the racing rx7s are using them, I mean how can these dudes be wrong after spending what they spend on their race cars.
