my check engine light has come on twice now. each time less than a minute after a cold start at around 2.5k rpm, and then only for a second. when i turn the car on to check the code the computer is not pushing any out. i.e. the check light does not flash. any ideas?

Could be an electrical short. Check all grounds and make sure all wires/plugs/harness are seated and crud free.

 

duh..... forgot about the jumper wire. got a code of 17, already have a vaccum pump, so we will see if the selenoid is bad, or i have a leak. thanks man.
