Cheap font lip... I know someone's done it- but I forget...

I put on TII side skirts, but I need something for the front end.
I can't justify 300 bucks for a front lip when I'm spending 3000 a semester for school right now...
I know someone made one that didn't look bad with some kind of vinyl edging or something... ring a bell? or any ideas?

I think garden shop/ hardware store have it, take a stroll- I think it is lawn edging?
