Exclamation charging problem

i have a charging problem i think. what was happening was that when i connected my battery, my guage cluster volts read 12V with the key off. also my main relay on the driver side fender near the coil clicks on.

i then changed the IGN cyl thinking that was the problem and it wasnt. i checked all continuity in the IGN switch and it was all good. as well as the new wires( batery relocation to bins)

now my problem is that when i connect the battery, i still see 12V but and the dummy lights come on and say on.

not sure what happening here!?!?! can anyone relate or give advice???

sounds like the battery is in back wards.

Negative terminal of the battery nearst to the headlight... positive terminal nearest to the fuse box
