Charging issues........ help appreciated

ok, i have a s4 tii, and the battery is CONSTANTLY dying....

I have a small O-ring issue which requires me to crank my engine for about a minute every morning before work. And almost always the engine cant handle it and I need to get my battery booster and boost it until it starts.

I need to fix this problem, its almost as if my alternator isnt charging my battery?????

if it Seems like your alternator isnt charging the battery, you may want to drive down to your local parts house and see if they can test your charging system for you while on the vehicle (I know Autozone does this, but dunno about Canada). Your Battery can also be bad, but remember that a bad battery *can* and does often result from a bad alternator so it's good to have them both checked out.

exactly this i know. while driving from portland to seattle doing about 70 all of a sudden my car drops rpm slow at first then Nothing..Looked at my alt Sure enough the wire on the top came loose not charging that battery..then i was thinking 40 miles back i saw all the warning lights come on for a sec. didnt really think much about it..anyways i tightened the wire to the alt got a jump since my battery was dead from the alt not working and i was on my way..Look for the simple of things first then work up.
