<a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v369/fatness3000/?action=view&current=SSPX0196.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v369/fatness3000/SSPX0196.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

now i turn off my engine and turn it back on. this is my idle.
<a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v369/fatness3000/?action=view&current=SSPX0194.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v369/fatness3000/SSPX0194.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

my engine is till on. two minutes later my idle drops to this.
<a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v369/fatness3000/?action=view&current=SSPX0193.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v369/fatness3000/SSPX0193.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

is this problem? can anybody help me? i know my idle is supposed to be @ 750rpm. which line is it on the tachometer? is say 4th line past the zero. thats two lines below 1krpm. is this correct?

i can see that you are new.. so start with doing some searching about idle issues and that well get the ball rollin for ya....

but, it sounds like your idle is just set too low.. there is a small screw on teh top of the intake manifold with a cap over it. This will adjust your idle speed. the more out it goes, the faster the idle will be, give it a try.

Each small line represents 100 RPM, with the large line on the bottom being 0 RPM, and the next one up being 500 RPM.

Open up the set screw like 7fold suggested, and search for threads on adjusting the TPS and variable resistor. The idle on these cars is touchy if all the settings aren't perfect. It doesn't matter if it idles a little higher than 750 RPM. I actually keep mine at 900 RPM because it just runs better, and doesn't seem to hurt mileage at all.

Um... join date February 2008 means your new too... ANYwho...

If the idle bounces 100RPM or so up and down constantly my guess is that your TPS is out of adjustment. Look at the throttle cam on the front of the throttle body. It is a little electronic piece with wires going into it and a black button that is pressed and depressed by the throttle cam.

With the car fully warm, remove the white cap off the TPS screw (if intact) and try slowly opening and closing the screw. Hopefully it will steady the idle. An ideal idle is about 800RPM. Since the car is 20+ years old it may have dried out gaskets and vac leaks... SO getting the car to idle steady under 1000RPM is good.

There are a few ways to lower and raise idle. Above the TPS is a small 8mm? bolt and screw. turn it down to up idle, turn up to lower. You can fine tune by removing the black cap. If youve removed the dashpot you can use a solid bolt to adjust idle there too.

To me, the pictures indicate a malfunction BAC. Seems it works fine sometimes (the approx 750rpm shown in the picture) and other times it seems to be Not working (the approx 550 rpms in that picture).

I'd try a cleaning of the interior of the BAC. Get some carb cleaner. Remove the BAC but leave its elec plug on. Key ON. Spray some carb cleaner into the interior of the BAC. The BAC should be vibrating a bit with the key ON, and it elect plug on it. Then dump the carb cleaner and do it a few more times. Reinstall the BAC and see if things are better.....or not.

Sometimes its a easy fix. Pull the plug off the BAC. Look into the plug and see if both elect terminals are at the same level. Sometimes one will not be locked in and will be pushed back, therefore not making good contact with the pin inside the BAC itself. In other words.......won't work like that.

Never ever pry or mess with the diaphram/piston inside the BAC. You'll ruin it.
