It's been many years ago that I installed the FD pump, direct replacerment, but I used the S5 sock, not the large one from the FD.

Sounds like it's just your injectors leaking? Are they new? Using proper resistors?

I don't think it is your Pump
Your pump is getting fuel to the engine and that is the job it should be doing.
Your Injectors on the other hand should not be letting fuel into the engine after it is Off.
..So you got a Hot start problem. Most likely leaky/Dirty injectors or something els like a Bad thermosender on the back of the waterpump.
I found a "temporary Fix" for this
Try Revving up your engine to say 3k and then turn the Key OFF.
it will Use up all the fuel Being sent to the engine.and it should start alot easier.
I have encountered a bit of Hot start problems now and then,And I tried this just to See if it would help.
I had to Pop the EGI Fuse to "deflood" the car, after I have had the car running about 5 minutes,.
The" REV Up and Shut Down" method actually Does work!!
It is Not a permanent way of fixing what is going on,But it does beat the hell out of having to Pop out your EGI fuse and "deflood" the car in the Middle of the Post office parking lot!
