Changing 4 seater into 2

I found a two seater at a local junkyard and I was just wondering if I bought all the carpet, plastic, wood, etc. bull$hit that came in the rear of the 2 seater would it fit in my 4 seater without major modification?

I would say yes. The 4 or 2 seater uses the same body.

yea i kinda figured it would work fine as long as i got ALL the pieces i needed. Its funny too cuz i was gonna jus take out the rear seats and install a sub in each spot where the seat was. should i do that or should i go through the trouble of changing it from a 4 to 2 seater and use those storage compartments for sub boxes sealed better of course.

what color are your rear seats, if they are blue i'd trade you for my storage bins/carpet/etc straight up.

no respectable subs will fit into those stock compartments, the best you could hope for are enclosed 6x9's but why would you want to do that, they're useful space

no the interior is the ugly maroon color....the stock compartments are that small?? i dono they looked big enough to hold at least 10 in. subs or are you talkin about the spaces that the lower part of the seats would free up if i took the seats out?

Bro, keep your seats, you're lucky enough to get a JDM FC. Stand out

Heh... LOL :P

Regardless, I did the rear-seat---> bin swap with very little problems. It was actually one of the very first "FC" mods I did back in my "early days", lol. Just unbolt the seats and seat-belts and they and the rear-carpet will all just pull out.

If you do get the bins and their specific rear-carpet, don't forget to get the 'devider' piece that stretches cross-wise below the rear strut-towers and directly behind the bins. It helps bolt the carpet down and the carpet won't seat correctly without it. It's a very easy swap and it'd be pretty easy to find someone who'd want to swap their bins for your rear seats. Maybe even ask for a little cash. I think I negotiated for the bin/carpet setup + $40 for my rear-seat assembly.

I think the rear seats are useless...My buddies 1st rx7 had them, I tried to sit back there...key word being TRIED im not a tall guy 5'6 and i dont even think a small child would have much luck. maybe if you were to lay down across them? Once the front seats are in the up-right and locked position it just seems pointless. but, thats just my .02
