So the car doesnt crank anymore? It could be that the TPS you just installed is way off.

The car should crank even with the TPS or BAC unpluged.

well I put the old TPS back on and it cranks. is the "new" one bad or needs to be set or what?

I know they need to be adjusted but the piece itself is not adjustable is it? thought that the spring assembley was the adjustable piece.

of course I dont know dirt about this stuff.

yes I need to pull out the ohm meter and do it right but it is dark and I dont have a lreal light to do that with tonight.

I just needed to get the car set enough so I could start it and drive till tommorrow after work.

I think the new BAC helped cause now i can turn on the lights and push the clutch in without it trying to die on me.

i will tackle this hard sat afternoon after work.

got a beer waiting on me.

have someone crank the car while you are Pushing the tps in and out, see if that works. should work when pushed in, if its set to far out the car wont run at all

The TPS is adjusted by the screw on the linkage, not the unit itself. Check the air intake system to be sure that when you replaced the BAC, you have everything tight, and make sure the BAC is sealed properly against the intake.

if the air intake wasnt sealed and the BAC wasnt tight then the car wouldnt start with neither TPS.

OLD TPS is back on car and it starts right up like it should without adjusting anything.

I tried to start the car with the new TPS unplugged and that didnt work either.

could the ECU have something stored that doesnt gell with the new TPS? I had the battery unplugged for about 2 hours.

I will work on it some more today after work
